Asian Games: India wins gold in men’s 10m air rifle event

Hangzhou: Indian shooters gave the country its first gold on the second day of the Asian Games Today (Monday).

Indian team won the gold medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event at the Asian Games.

The team of World Champion Rudraksh B Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar scored 1893.7 points in the qualifying round and created a world record. South Korea won silver with 1890.1 points, while China won bronze with 1888.2 points.

For India, Rudranksh scored 632.5, Tomar 631.6, and Panwar scored 629.6 to set the world record.

Veteran shooters Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita Jindal, and Ashi Chowksi won the silver medal in the women’s team event on Sunday.

In the women’s individual category, Ramita Jindal won bronze in the 10 metres rifle event.
