After being exposed by a TV sting operation, Chetan Sharma has resigned from his position as India’s chairman of selectors. According to a report from ANI, BCCI secretary Jay Shah accepted his resignation.
On February 14, a video showed Sharma discussing a number of national team-related topics, including reported friction between Virat Kohli and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Jasprit Bumrah’s injury, which was made public by an Indian TV news programme. Sharma may not have been aware that he was being secretly recorded at the time.
