Indian players compete in dropping catches; Nepal makes best use of the opportunity

Pallekele: Nepal lost by four wickets against India in the Asia Cup cricket tournament. Nepal lost the toss and went into bat at 109 runs for the loss of four wickets in 25 overs. The catches given by openers Asif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel were dropped three times by the Indian players. Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan competed in dropping the catches. This was in the first, second and fifth overs. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Kushal scored 38 runs off 25 balls. The star was later caught by Ishan Kishan off Shardul Thakur. Asif Sheikh is at the crease with 55 runs. Ravindra Jadeja, who took three wickets, shone among the Indian bowlers.

The Indian team has replaced Jasprit Bumrah who returned home with Mohammed Shami. Today’s match is crucial for India, who have just one point in Group A after drawing with Pakistan in the rain-interrupted first match, to enter the Super Four.
