BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian team for winning the 3rd and final ODI against Sri Lanka. He lauded the centuries of Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill.
But what many couldn’t help but notice was Shah’s ignorance of the fast bowler Mohammed Siraj’s match-winning performance. He picked up four wickets, giving away just 32 runs in 10 overs, and also delivered a maiden over with an economy of 3.20.
“It was an absolutely dominating performance from #TeamIndia against Sri Lanka. An amazing showcase of talent and hard work, as we win two series in two weeks. Best wishes to the entire team, and kudos to @imVkohli @ShubmanGill for their performances! @BCCI”
Shah is facing widespread ridicule for not ignoring Siraj’s efforts.
Both Kohli and Rohit Sharma praised Siraj for his performance and his growth in the last few years.
