An incredible second-half hat-trick from Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has guided Madrid to defeat Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday at Champions League in Bernabeu, with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline over the course of the round-of-16 tie.
Benzema secured the third Champions League hat-trick of his glittering career by securing two brilliant goals in just 105 seconds to fire his team into the quarter-finals and knock out PSG.
Real Madrid were set to be the latest victims of another Kylian Mbappe masterclass at the Bernabeu after the 23-year-old ran them ragged for an hour and fired in to put PSG 1-0 up on the dramatic night, 2-0 ahead on aggregate.
Madrid, however, came storming back as the French golden boy capitalised on a mistake by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and scored an incredible double in two minutes, the third coming within 11 seconds after PSG had kicked off.
The comeback was completed as Real Madrid and Benzema head through while PSG crash out at the last-16 stage for the first time sine 2019.
