Tokyo: Continuing her splendid performance at Tokyo Olympics, India badminton star P.V. Sindhu has entered into the semi-finals of the women’s singles badminton championship on Friday.
Sindhu who has already won silver medal in the Rio Olympics, played fabulously against Japanese player Akane Yamaguchi. She defeated her opponent in the straight sets 21-13, 22-20 in the quarterfinals of the women’s singles event.
Sindhu finished the match within an hour and took herself to the semi final.
In the Semi final, Sindhu may play either against Thailand’s Intanon Ratchanok or Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-Ying as both will have to fight to place themselves in the semi final
