Bangladesh: Students troubled over continuous load shedding

After two and a half years of the pandemic, the students of Bangladesh are facing continuous load shedding. The government is citing the country’s energy crisis as load shedding is reported all over the country.

As a result, students are unable to study due to the heat when they go to class during the day, the teachers are unable to carry out routine lessons and activities as planned. After returning home they cannot focus on their studies due to the power cut in the evening. Parents say that although the government announced only one hour of a power cut, in reality, there are several power cuts every day and night.

In addition to this, a large number of students fell sick due to the recent extreme heat.

If power outages continue regularly, the students cannot study and will fall further behind in their studies.
