Islamabad: In a major road bus accident in Punjab province of Pakistan, as many as 30 people are feared dead and over 40 sustained injuries on Monday.
According to the reports, the accident took place when a passenger bus collided with a truck on the Indus Highway in Dera Ghazi Khan. The bus is said to be heading towards Rajanpur from Sialkot.
The official sources said that as per the preliminary report, some 30 people including women and children have lost their lives in the accident.
The rescue operation was started soon and staff started removing bodies and sending injured to hospitals.
Meanwhile it is believed since the condition of many is said to be critical, more people may succumb to injuries.
