Imran Khan’s PTI to form government in POK

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party of Prime Minsiter, Imran Khan has registered a thumping victory in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and is all set to form the government in the region.  

The party has done well in assembly polls in POK.

According to the reports, PTI secured 25 of 45 seats while PPP got 11 seats and PML-N could win only six seats in the region. One each seat has been won in JKPP and AJKMC parties respectively.

Meanwhile, two opposition parties, PML-N and PPP have accused PTI if rigging the polls to win the election. They said that the party has misused the power during the elections.

The election however did not remain peaceful as two persons killed in clashes.

Amid this, it is reported that the Kashmiri refugees living in Balochistan did not evince any interest in the polls. The reports said that none of them visited the polling stations to vote.
