Japanese PM in India, to address important global concerns with PM Modi

Fumio Kishida, the prime minister of Japan, has arrived in New Delhi for the annual India-Japan Summit. He will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As Japan will be hosting the G7 Summit next month, the encounter is considered as an important development in the two nations’ relations. One of the main subjects for discussion between the two prime ministers will be how the G20 and G7 countries can collaborate closely to address important global concerns.

In light of his upcoming announcement of the “Free and Open Indo-Pacific Plan for Peace” at the Sapru House Lecture hosted by the Indian Council of World Affairs, PM Kishida is anticipated to continue his predecessor Shinzo Abe’s policy of working closely with India on security and development throughout the Indo-Pacific (ICWA).
