Kuwait lawmakers condemn ‘atrocities’ against Indian Muslims

Kuwaiti National Assembly members have condemned the atrocities committed by the Indian authorities and Hindu extremist groups against the Muslim community India.

In a joint statement, the lawmakers said that they stand in solidarity with the Muslims in India in the wake of the wave of violence and discrimination committed against Indian Muslims such as killing, displacement and burning.

They have also called upon international, humanitarian, human rights, and Islamic organizations to work immediately in order to stop the actions of Indian authorities and restore security to Indian Muslims.

According to media sources recent report, about 20,000 members of the Muslim minority in Assam have been displaced from their homes after authorities evicted them from their homes under the guise that they were built on state-owned land.
