PM modi to Putin: called for dialogue and diplomacy with Ukraine

In a statement the PMO said that both the leaders exchanged ideas on how bilateral trade in agricultural goods, fertilizers and pharma products could be encouraged further.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reiterated India’s long-standing position favouring dialogue and diplomacy, while speaking to Putin.

PMO in the statement said that Putin and Modi also discussed the state of global energy and food markets.
“They exchanged ideas on how bilateral trade in agricultural goods, fertilisers and pharma products could be encouraged further,” the statement said. “The leaders also discussed global issues, including the state of the international energy and food markets.”

Russia remains a reliable supplier of grains, fertilizers and energy, Putin told Modi,
India is one of the biggest importer of Russian crude oil.
