Self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda’s ‘nation’ ‘United States of Kailasa.’ recently held a UN meeting in Geneva where a representative claimed Nityananda is being “persecuted” by India.
Vijayapriya Nithyananda represented the “United States of Kailasa” at the 19th United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural rights. She even demanded protection for the ‘Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism’.
The “United Nations of Kailasa” is a fictional country founded by Nityananda. He is accused of sexual assault and abuse and is on the run from India. Demanding protection for the controversial godman in the meeting.

He is believed to have left the country and established his ashram in a location called Kailasa. There is a lot of speculation regarding Kailasa’s location. A sessions court of Karnataka issued a non-bailable warrant against him in 2022. This was in connection with a rape case in 2010. An open-ended warrant was also issued by the court.
But, the police were not able to secure him or find his whereabouts. The rape case is pending Nithyananda has failed to respond to all the summons since 2019.
