The Israel Defense Forces said that an Israeli drone attack on the Gaza Strip last night killed Hamas’ finance minister and a senior member of Hamas’ politburo.
Israel said Hamas finance ministers Jawad Abu Shamla and Zakaria Abu Moammar were killed.
The Israeli military said Jawad Abu Shamla was funding Hamas and financing acts against Israel inside and outside the Gaza Strip.
Zakaria Abu Moammar, who was killed, was the head of internal affairs for the armed group Hamas. The IDF said he was a liaison between senior Hamas leaders and the armed group in the Gaza Strip.
But the Hamas armed group has not issued any statement regarding the killing of these two Hamas leaders.

But the Israeli army said yesterday that the bodies of around 1,500 Hamas fighters had been found in Israel in areas surrounding the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel’s military spokesman Richard Hecht said that Israel has regained control of most of the border area with Gaza.
