Mob lynching in Araria: young man beaten to death who had gone to fetch milk

The incidents of mob lynching with Muslims have now turned to Bihar via Uttar Pradesh. This is the second incident in Bihar in the last 7 days where a person belonging to a Muslim community was lynched to death by a mob.

In Yadav Tola, Chakai, Jokihat in Araria district, a youth was beaten to death by villagers on the charge of theft in his house on Saturday night.

The deceased Ismail was a resident of Baluwa Tapra Tola of Mahalgaon police station area.

Police is interrogating one of the accused in the case. So far there is no information of any arrest.

On the other hand, the villagers of Yadav Tola said that Ismail had come to theft. Then the owner of the house noticed and the villagers started beating him badly. He was hit so much with sticks and sticks that he fell unconscious. Some villagers tried to take Ismail to the hospital but he died on the way.

After that some people of the village admitted him to Jokihat Hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead.

Ismail’s wife Bibi Musarat told that he had gone to bring milk to Yadav Tola. But people killed him as part of a conspiracy.

In the case of death due to mob thrashing in Chakai Panchayat late on Saturday night, villagers say that Ismail had gone to steal a person’s house in Yadav Tola, ward number 7 of Chakai Panchayat.

During this, the villagers, who had gathered on the attack of the home owner, caught Ismail and beat him fiercely. This led to his death.

Meanwhile, Jokihat police station police officer Vikas Kumar Azad said that the police is investigating the matter.

The deceased’s wife Bibi Musarat and sister Rihanna told that Ismail used to go to Yadav Tola daily to bring milk. Like every day, he went to fetch milk on Saturday night.

But on the pretext of theft, they killed them under the conspiracy. They demanded the police to investigate the whole matter and take action.

A day after this incident, people on social media are demanding justice for Ismail. With the hashtag #justiceforismael on Twitter, people are tweeting with Ismail’s photo.

This is not the first incident of a thief being beaten to death. Earlier, about ten years ago, the villagers of Kesra Chowk had surrounded and killed three criminals.
