Maharashtra First-ever MP Navneet Kaur, fined Rs 2 Lakh for submitting Fake Caste certificate, is now likely to lose his seat

Navneet Kaur Rana, #NavneetKaur an independent Member of Parliament from Maharashtra, was today fined Rs 2 lakh by the Mumbai High Court for presenting a fake caste certificate. According to the Indian Express, the Maharashtra Legal Services Authority will have to pay the price within a fortnight.

The first-ever MP from Amaravati, the second largest city in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, is now likely to lose her seat. However, the court is silent on this.

Ms. Kaur has been given more than a month to prove the authenticity of her documents in court, and if failed to do, she could lose her seat in parliament.

Seizing her certificate, the Nagpur Bench of the High Court granted Rana a forged caste certificate and said that “the caste certificate was forged and forged by the scrutiny committee by presenting forged documents.” The certificate under discussion was ratified in 2017.

35 year old, Ms.Kaur, speaks seven languages ​​and is one of eight women legislators from Maharashtra.

Former Member of Parliament and Shiv Sena leader Anandrao Adsul had challenged the candidate from actor to politician.

In March, Ms Kaur alleged that Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant had threatened her in the Lok Sabha or lower house lobby, and warned to send her to jail for speaking against the Maharashtra government in the House.
