Imphal/Guwahati: An attack targeting BJP ministers, MLAs and party leaders in Manipur a week ago has turned to the army now as two soldiers were injured in a firing by an armed assailant in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The attack took place at 5 am in North Boljang of West Imphal. The soldiers suffered minor injuries. Officials said that an additional army force has reached the spot and the operation is in progress.
The CPM has demanded that the Biren Singh-led Manipur government should be sacked.
