New Delhi: After the incident in Manipur where three women were stripped naked and made to parade and one of them was gang-raped, another similar incident has come out. The case is that two women were gang-raped and killed in the state capital Imphal. An FIR has been registered but no one has been arrested yet.
Two young women, sisters who worked at a car wash in the city, were raped and killed. Their father filed a police complaint. According to the FIR, a group of men came to a rented house in Imphal, gang-raped them and killed them.
On May 4, the same day that three women were stripped naked, two young women were gang-raped and killed in Imphal. Both the killed people belong to the Kuki community. Hindustan Times reported quoting police sources that the accused belonged to the Meitei community.
