New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has dismissed allegations of gang rape in the death of a Kolkata doctor last month. Based on available evidence, the police have arrested Sanjay Roy as the sole suspect.
CBI sources informed NDTV that Roy acted alone in the gruesome rape and murder that occurred at RG Kar Hospital. Sources also stated that the investigation is in its “final stage.” The case was transferred to the CBI by the Kolkata High Court.
