Russia ready to help end Israel-Hamas conflict: Vladimir Putin

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone. The Kremlin, the official residence of the Russian president, has said it is ready to help end the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“Vladimir Putin told Netanyahu that Russia is taking steps to clarify the situation, prevent further escalation of violence, and prevent a humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip”, the Kremlin said.

Putin held talks with the leaders of Iran, Egypt, Syria, and Palestine on Monday. It also asserted that any violence against civilians is unacceptable.

More than 100,000 people have been displaced in the Gaza Strip in a week since Israel launched an attack in response to the attack by the rebel group Hamas. Without electricity, fuel, food, and water supply, people are struggling.

This attack has now extended to Syria. Meanwhile, Iran’s call for Arab nations to unite against Israel has sparked a new regional crisis.
