Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar call separate meetings of NCP; Meeting today in Mumbai

New Delhi: NCP high level meeting will be held today to decide future matters. Congress and Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction have called a separate meeting to discuss the current political situation. Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Samna has written a mouthpiece saying that Ajit Pawar will remove Eknath Shinde from the post of Chief Minister.

NCP national president Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, who split the party and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena government, have called a meeting separately in Mumbai.

Sharad Pawar expelled Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare from NCP for their anti-party activities. But soon Ajit Pawar camp announced that Sunil Tatkare has been appointed as NCP President instead of Jayant Patil.

Narendra Rathore, Vijay Deshmukh and Shivaji Rao Garje were also expelled from the NCP for attending the swearing-in ceremony of NCP ministers at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. After that, Ajit Pawar was selected as the leader of the group, Praful Patel informed. Ajit Pawar Camp’s activities are centered in the new office near the Secretariat. Ajit Pawar and his followers say that they are still in the party and have not left.

Meanwhile, the Sharad Pawar faction has written to the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly demanding the disqualification of Ajit Pawar and eight loyalists. Sharad Pawar, who founded the NCP in 1999, will continue as the party leader and the Sharad Pawar faction has also sent a letter to the Central Election Commission showing that there will be no leadership change. Ajit Pawar retorted that the notices against him have no value unless he leaves the party.
