Maharashtra: Shiv Sena, NCP parties split after the Congress meeting

Mumbai: After the split of Shiv Sena and NCP parties in Maharashtra, the leaders of the Congress party in Maharashtra held a meeting on Tuesday.

Congress Party National President Mallikarjuna Kharge has called a meeting of prominent leaders of Maharashtra in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi also participated in this.

After the differences in Shiv Sena and NCP, the whispers of rebellion have started in the Congress as well. BJP leaders are openly stating that several Congress MLAs are in touch with us.

Congress party sources said that an important meeting will be held to retain their MLAs.

Several leaders including Maharashtra Congress in-charge HK Patil, Ashish Dua, State Congress President Nana Patole, former Chief Ministers Ashok Chauhan, Prithviraj Chauhan, Sushil Kumar Shinde have participated.

At present, Congress has 44 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Now Congress is the largest opposition party.
