A shocking incident took place this morning in Derha village of Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh state where two criminals, who were out on bail for raping a 19-year-old girl, brutally murdered the victim in broad daylight.
Ashok and Pawan Nishad were the assassins who had committed the murder. He was released on bail a few days before the murder. The accused had raped the murdered victim three years ago. A case was registered in the station. These accused were harassing the young woman to drop the case against them.
Pawan’s brother Ashok Nishad, an accused in another murder case, was released two days before the young woman’s murder. Police said that after coming out of jail, he threatened the woman to withdraw the case.
However, the young woman did not succumb to the threats of the accused. The police said that the accused ambushed and killed him when he was returning from grazing his family’s cows in his nearby farm. Police said that intensive operation has been conducted to trace the absconding accused.
Kaushambi district SP Srivastava said the police have sent the woman’s body for post-mortem and formed teams to nab the accused.
Crime cases are continuous in the state ruled by the opposition Congress and BJP, which has expressed outrage over the rape . It is an inhumane incident that the rape accused went out on bail and committed murder.
Thugs in Uttar Pradesh are so fearless that they have no fear or respect for the law. Here, girls are so insecure that if they raise their voice about their injustice, they risk losing their lives. When will this darkness end?
According to data from the National Crime Records Bureau, more than 56,000 cases of crimes against women were registered in the state of Uttar Pradesh in 2021. This is more than any other state. These include rape, murder and acid attacks.
