Brave Rat-Miners Honored at 35th Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar Awards Ceremony

Delhi: Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar Academy celebrated its 35th awards ceremony by recognizing outstanding individuals from various fields. Among the recipients were the courageous rat-miners who recently made headlines for their heroic efforts in rescuing laborers trapped in a collapsed tunnel in Uttarakhand.

Dr S. Farooq, President of Himalaya Drugs, took the stage during the event to felicitate the rat-miners, praising their bravery and selflessness. He referred to them as not just good miners but truly great miners for their instrumental role in the rescue operation that saved the lives of 41 workers.

The rat-miners became the unsung heroes of the Uttarakhand tunnel collapse, navigating through treacherous conditions to reach and assist the trapped laborers. Their dedication and quick response were crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of those caught in the disaster.

During the ceremony, a book titled “Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar-Ankhon Dekhi,” edited by Masoom Moradabadi, was also unveiled. The book provides a profound insight into the life and contributions of Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar, further enriching the occasion with its release.
