Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has launched a new ticketing system using QR code scanning in its buses. This initiative aims to streamline the ticketing process and promote a cashless system for passengers.
Passengers can now obtain tickets by scanning QR codes through smart electronic ticketing machines (ETMs) equipped with Digital Payment Ecosystem (DPE) capabilities. This system has been practically implemented in various routes, addressing retail issues and enhancing convenience through smart tickets.
The Transport Department’s emphasis on cashless transactions and efficient solutions is expected to significantly improve the travel experience for KSRTC commuters.
