A woman’s severed body parts were found in a suitcase found on the side of the road!

CHENNAI: An incident where the dismembered body parts of a woman were found in a suitcase found on the roadside came to light in Chennai’s Thoraipakkam on Thursday morning.

The deceased woman has been identified as Deepa, a native of Madhavaram. Thoraipakkam police have taken one person into custody in connection with the incident.

Around seven o’clock in the morning near the IT corridor of Chennai, a stench was felt by the people walking. In this background, a suitcase was found on the side of the road. Locals noticed this and opened the suitcase. At that time, the dismembered body of a woman was found in it. The shocked locals immediately informed the police. The police rushed to the spot and took the dead body in the suitcase to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. When checking the CCTV around the area where the suitcase was found, the police arrested Manikandan, a resident of the same area.

Itta Madhavaram police station where the woman’s brother complained that a woman was missing for the past three days and now it has come to light that the same woman has been murdered. According to preliminary information, Manikandan killed Deepa for money and then dismembered her body, stuffed it in a suitcase, and dumped it on the side of the road in the early morning. Police are still investigating and more information is yet to be released.
