Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI has announced Sathyan Mokeri as its candidate for the Wayanad by-election, setting the stage for a strong contest against the Congress candidate backed by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The by-election, scheduled for November 13, is heating up as opposition alliance parties field prominent candidates. Mokeri, who previously contested in 2014, is expected to create significant competition in the upcoming polls.
