Bengaluru: After losing battle over the claim for ‘KSRTC’ trademark, against Kerala, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is now looking for legal remedies to own the trademark.
It may be noted that Kerala had filed complaint with Central Registrar of Trademarks claiming that KSRTC trademark belongs to them and not Karnataka.
Following the order, Transport Minister of Karnataka, Lashman Savadi has said that they are yet to receive the order copy. He added that they will hold meeting with legal experts on taking up legal course to own the trademark.
Even the officials of transport department said that they are looking at all possible ways including legal to keep the trademark.
They however hoped that the matter would be settled amicably without any tussle.
It may be noted that both States have been fighting to retain the trademark as both of them claim it belongs to them.
Kerala claims that it had started the operation under the trademark since 1965 only while Karnataka started it in 1973.
