Madrid: Lionel Messi, the works famous football player of Argentina had major legal relief after Spanish Court dismissed him in the case of financial irregularities and money laundering.
During the hearing, judge Maria Tardon said that 34-year-old footballer could not be proved guilty of crime as no evidence was found to prove the allegations.
The case was filed in June 2019 by an employee of Leo Messi Foundation, Federico Rettori of financial irregularities in the charitable trust and money laundering.
Rettori had made father and brother of Messi as co-accused in the case. He had alleged that the donation received by the foundation was transferred to the family members of the ace footballer, thus essentially saying that the money was misused.
