Murder, Mayhem, and Twisted Fate: The Shocking Truth Behind CO Ziaul Haq’s Killing

The killer of CO Ziaul Haq, Bablu, initially considered a minor, was later declared an adult by the Juvenile Justice Board. He died in a road accident in 2017.

Bablu, son of Nanhen Yadav, shot CO Ziaul Haq with a pistol. Others beat him with sticks. After his father’s and uncle Suresh Yadav’s deaths, Bablu shot Haq.

CBI investigation claimed Bablu was a minor, transferring the case to Lucknow’s Juvenile Justice Board. His family produced his high school mark sheet showing his birthdate as May 15, 1996. However, educational documents revealed alterations.

The Board scrutinized documents, declaring his birthdate incorrect and age at the crime as 18 years, 2 months, and 15 days. The Board ordered Bablu’s transfer to Lucknow District Jail.

Board Chairman Udayveer Singh and members Dinesh Pandey and Dr. Rashmi Rastogi stated educational records showed tampering with birthdates.

Surprisingly, the Board’s dire situation meant Dr. Rastogi had to handwrittenly write the 17-page verdict due to the absence of clerks.

After Bablu’s accident death, his family filed a case against former minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh (Raja Bhayya), MLC Akshay Pratap Singh, and three others for murder and conspiracy.

The sensitive case prompted Lucknow’s forensic laboratory to investigate.
