Dussehra holiday announcement for schools: State govt issues guidelines

Bengaluru: Dussehra holiday has been declared for all schools in the state from tomorrow. The state government has issued an order in this regard.

Navratri is starting from tomorrow. Dussehra festival is celebrated in Mysore. At present, the Public Education Department has announced the Dussehra holiday for school children across the state from October 3 to 20 and there will be a total of 17 days of Dussehra holiday for school students.

Dussehra vacation for the academic year 2024-25 will be from October 3 to 20. October 2nd is Gandhi Jayanti and vacations will start after the program. 2nd term will start on October 21st.

Schools will be held till April 10, 2025, the Public Education Department has issued an order in this regard. The public education department has published the school term guide for the academic year 2024-2025 before the start of the schools. Holidays are declared as per its rules.

The academic year 2024-25 in Karnataka started on May 29 and the first session lasted till October 2. Intermediate exams started on September 23 and were held till September 30. After that, the process of Dussehra vacation for government and private school children started.
