Congress slams BJP over NEET ‘paper leak’, calls it ‘betrayal’ of dreams of students

The Congress lashed out at the BJP over the recurring issue of examination paper leaks, highlighting that this problem has persisted for the past decade, resulting in widespread unemployment and corruption in job opportunities, which are now pivotal election concerns.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi condemned the reported NEET exam paper leak, describing it as a betrayal of the aspirations of over 23 lakh students and their families.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) refuted allegations of a paper leak, asserting that the claims were unfounded.

However, Gandhi criticized the Modi government, stating that it has hindered students aspiring for higher education or government jobs.

He emphasized the need for stringent laws to prevent paper leaks, promising a transparent student environment under Congress governance.

Similarly, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed dismay over the NEET paper leak, questioning the government’s inaction despite the passage of anti-leak laws.

She reiterated the party’s commitment to endpaper leaks and ensure timely recruitments.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh highlighted instances of paper leaks in Bihar and Rajasthan, stressing that over 70 papers have been compromised in the past seven years, affecting the future of millions of candidates.

He emphasized the importance of preventing leaks and ensuring fairness in all stages of examinations through robust laws and strict enforcement. Ramesh affirmed that the Congress’s priority is to safeguard the aspirations of hardworking candidates and uphold the integrity of examination processes.
