Bengaluru: After the announcement of 14 day lockdown in the State to break the Covid chain, the transport department has decided to press 1500 buses into service to allow people to move to their places before the lockdown comes into effect from Tuesday night.
Informing that to medial persons, MD of KSRTC, Shivayogi Kalasad said that after the announcement, thousands of people began gathering at the bus stands to find buses to travel to their native places.
In order to provide facility to them, the Corporation has decided to run additional 1500 buses to clear the rush at the bus stands.
Making it clear that the buses should carry only 50% capacity to prevent the spreading of Covid, he said that people could show their bus ticket if police are preventing their movement to their native places
