Bihar BJP MLA demands government to withdraw voting rights of Muslims

Bihar BJP MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur demanded that the government should “take away the voting rights from Muslims, they got a separate country in 1947, and should go there.”

Speaking to media, BJP’s Harishankar Thakur said, “In 1947, the country was divided in the name of religion and they got another country. They should go to another country. If they want to live here, then I demand from the government that they should withdraw their voting rights. They (Muslims) can live in India as second-class citizens.”

He alleged that “Muslims have an ISI agenda in the country and they are working on the agenda to make India an Islamic country.”

Denying that Muslims are a minority in this country, Harishankar Thakur said that there is no word like a minority in the Constitution.

The BJP MLA’s statement come after AIMIM’s MLA Akhtarul Iman had demanded that the Indian Muslims should be given rights based on their population
