In a major setback to the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, four leaders of the party have recently resigned and are likely to join the Sharad Pawar faction soon.
This move comes after NCP’s disastrous performance in the recent concluded Lok Sabha election. It is a major setback for the NCP as Maharashtra is few months ahead of the assembly polls.
It is to be noted that NCP’s Pimpri-Chinchwad unit chief Ajit Gavahane, former corporators Rahul Bhosale and Pankaj Bhalekar and Pimpri-Chinchwad students’ wing chief Yash Sane have submitted their resignations to Ajit Pawar.
