Subramanian Swamy Raises Questions on Adani Group’s Involvement in Uttarakhand Tunnel Collapse

Uttarakhand Tunnel Rescue efforts are underway, with emergency services and personnel on site working tirelessly to save lives. Food and essential supplies are being provided to those trapped in an attempt to sustain them until they can be safely evacuated.

The collapse has prompted questions about the construction and safety standards of the tunnel. Today, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Subramanian Swamy, through a social media platform, raised concerns and demanded answers from the government. In a tweet posted on 27 November, Swamy questioned the responsibility for the tunnel collapse and inquired about the construction entity behind the project.

Subramanian Swamy specifically asked if Adani’s company was involved in building the tunnel, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing situation. The tweet can be found on MP’s Twitter account.

Additionally, journalist Swati Chaturvedi has voiced her concerns about the incident on social media platform X. In her tweet, Chaturvedi questioned, “Who built the #tunnel in which 41 helpless men are trapped without mandatory safety features? The answer says everything about New India.”
