Hathras (UP) (PTI): Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, visited Hathras on Friday to meet the families of the stampede victims.
Gandhi traveled from Delhi early in the morning, accompanied by state Congress chief Ajay Rai, state Congress in-charge Avinash Pande, party spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, and other party officials.
His first stop was Aligarh, where he interacted with the victims’ families. He then proceeded to Hathras, arriving in Pilakhna village around 7:15 am, to meet more bereaved families. The stampede at Baba Bhole’s satsang on Tuesday claimed 121 lives, mostly women.
