BIJAPUR; 28 April: Expressing anguish over the IPL franchises still continuing to play IPL matches when the whole country in grip by Covid pandemic, MLC and former cricketer, Prakash Rathod has not only appealed BCCI to cancel IPL tournaments going on in the country, but also has urged government of Karnataka not to allow sports activities in State till country tides over this crises.

In a release, he said that when people are suffering because of the Covid where countless patients are unable to find beds, oxygen and ventilators, it is an utterly inhuman act for some people to keep enjoying cricket matches.

The people are desperately trying to do everything in their hands to save their relatives. The scene at the hospital is depressing while scenes at the crematoriums are equally gory as people had to wait for hours to give a decent burial to their deadonse.
