Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik has gifted a beautiful maiden over to Punjab kings and took out 4 wickets, bottling their score to a 151 all out. In his maiden 20th over, Malik eliminated three wickets as he shifted Odean smith, Rahul Chahar, and Vaibhav Arora from the field to their pavilion. The right-arm fast bowler ended Punjab’s batting streak with astonishing figures of 4/28. This has led to the victory of Sunrisers over Punjab Kings by 7 wickets on Sunday.
Umran’s extraordinary display of skill has earned him praises all over social media. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted “We need him in India colors ASAP. What a phenomenal talent. Coming from a humble background in Jammu and Kashmir, Umran set the record for the fastest Delivery by an Indian in IPL during his debut against Kolkata Knight Riders by bowling a 151.03 Kmph delivery, a speed that no Indian Bowler had touched in the ongoing season. He later broke his own record by bowling a 153 kmph delivery against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Umran’s coach, Randhir Singh Manhas took him as a ward when he was just 17. Manhas also says that, Umran who had been a class X Dropout developed his speed by bowling with tennis balls and playing regular tennis ball Cricket.
