In China, youth and children are restricted from using mobile internet at night

Beijing: In China, children and teenagers are restricted from using the Internet at night, and this rule will come into effect in September this year.

China announced new rules on Wednesday aimed at wearing children and teenagers off their mobile addiction. Under these rules, children and teenagers will be restricted from using smartphones at night.

The restrictions will come into effect on September 2 after a public consultation. Under these restrictions, those under the age of 18 will be restricted from accessing the internet with a mobile device between 10 pm and 6 am.

There are also restrictions on smartphone usage, with children under the age of eight limited to 40 minutes per day and 16 and 17-year-olds to a maximum of 2 hours per day.

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has published these new rules. Some of these restrictions are among the toughest in the world. However, it is informed that these rules can be waived if the parents wish.
