Karnataka’s caste census report should not be wasted: Minister Parameshwar

Member of Vidhan Sabha BK Hariprasad has demanded that like the Bihar government, the Karnataka government should also show the courage to disclose the caste report of backward classes which is already prepared in the state.

The report of the caste census conducted in Bihar was sent to the government there. Submitted on 3 In this background, many political leaders are demanding the government to implement the report of the caste census held in Karnataka as soon as possible.

BK Hariprasad tweeted about this, “Our leader Rahul Gandhi has raised his voice against the disclosure of caste census and the injustice done to the backward classes. The historic move of the government to release the caste census report in the state of Bihar ruled by the “India” alliance is commendable. “The scientific attitude of the Congress party is that the caste census report will help the upliftment and development of all classes, including the backward and exploited”.

Home Minister G. Parameshwar responded to the media on Wednesday, “After the publication of the caste census report in Bihar, there has now been a demand for the release of the caste census report in Karnataka state as well. It would be good if the caste census report is submitted soon. It will benefit many communities”.

Talking about this, Home Minister G. Parameshwar said, “Let us discuss after submitting the caste census report to the government. Jayaprakash Hegde said that he will submit the report to the government soon. An estimated cost of more than Rs 100 crore has been spent on conducting the caste census.

Isn’t it a waste to spend so much money and not release the report? It would be good if the caste census is released, the cry of reservation has been heard in the state. “The government has not done a caste census for extravagance”.

CT Ravi responded, “Let the caste census report be released in the state as well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi belongs to the most backward class. “The BJP government will have the most backward MLAs and MPs,” he said.
