India Vs Australia, 2nd T20: Ravi Bishnoi and Ruturaj Gaikwad star as all-rounder as India takes a lead in the series

India defeated Australia by 44 runs and therefore took a lead of 2-0 in the ongoing T20 Series which is scheduled between the men in blue and the Kangaroos. Australia won the toss and decided to opt for bowling at the at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.

India hit a massive amount of runs on the scoreboard with 236 runs where the Australians were restricted only in 191 runs with a loss of 9 wickets by the men in blue at the end of 20 overs. India saw some commendable performances from the batters as well as bowlers of the team. While Yashasvi Jaiswal made 58 runs for just 25 balls before being out by Nathan Ellis, Ruturaj Gaikwad also contributed to 58 runs for 43 balls. He was also out by Nathan Ellis. Ishan Kishan made 52 runs for a mere of 32 balls and was therefore spelled out by Marcus Stoinis. Captain, Suryakumar Yadav did not performed very well in the second match as he just made 19 runs for 10 balls which also included two sixes.

Australia in return was only able to make 191 runs with a loss of 9 wickets. Steven Smith did not perform as expectations as he just made 19 runs for 16 balls and his wicket was taken by Prasidh Krishna. Australian star batter, Glenn Maxwell made merely 12 runs off 8 balls. His wicket was taken by Axar Patel. From Australian end, it was just Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade who made 45 and 42 runs respectively.

The men in blue were good in taking wickets and restricting the Australians at 191. Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets each while Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh took 1 wicket each. The player of the match was therefore awarded to Yashasvi Jaiswal.
