Mr Perfectionist, Amir Khan’s daughter, Ira khan got married in an intimate wedding ceremony on Wednesday at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
While many people attended the marriage including Amir Khan’s ex wife, kiran Rao, they extended their greetings and blessed the couple, what struck the public was the groom, Nupur Shikhare who wore shorts to the wedding.
There are new styles which are adapted by newly married couples in their weddings but this was just another ‘out of the blue moment’ for the paparazzi as well. Many people on the social media platforms reacted to pictures and videos of the groom who was in his vest and shorts at the ceremony.
Nupur, who is actually a fitness coach, had jogged for about 8 km to reach the wedding venue to marry her fiancé, Ira Khan. The couple got married by signing the marriage registry papers on January 3.
After the documentation and completion of the formalities, the couple made their appearance public in front of the media. Ira wore a velvet choli with dhoti pants while after changing the shorts and tees, Nupur was seen in a blue bandhgala.
A video has been doing rounds on the internet where Nupur is seen signing the documents wearing a short and t-shirt while on the other hand, Ira is looking stunning in her velvet choli.
In the video Amir Khan is seen clapping as he is very happy for her daughter. Kiran Rao captures the happy moment while Reena Dutta, mother of Ira Khan and Amir Khan’s first wife is also seen cheering for the newly-wedded couple. A complete family photograph was taken with the newly-married couple, Amir Khan, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao and Kiran Rao’s son.
