Sadhguru recovering quickly: daughter shares health update on social media

Several messages have been pouring in for a speedy recovery for Sadhguru. His followers have been sending him recovery messages from all around the world.

Sadhguru, founder of the Coimbatore-based Isha Foundation underwent a brain surgery on Sunday in a private hospital in Delhi. The spiritual guru suffered a “life-threatening” bleeding in his skull and is now under the process of recovery, a senior doctor present at Delhi’s Indraprastha Apollo Hospital stated on Wednesday.

Sadhguru also shared his health update from his hospital bed. “The Apollo hospital neurosurgeons cut through my skull to try and find something but found nothing — totally empty. So they gave up and patched it up. Here I am in Delhi with the patched-up skull but no damaged brain,” the 66-year-old guru said in a post on Instagram.

The doctors at the hospital in Delhi said Sadhguru was taken off from the ventilator and his vital parameters are showing progress. The hospital added that he was suffering from headaches for the past few weeks. However, “despite the pain, he continued with his normal daily schedule and other social activities”, hospital statement added.

Many political leaders including the Prime Minister wished for a speedy recovery of the spiritual leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished for a speedy recovery of the spiritual guru on twitter after the surgery. “Spoke to @SadhguruJV Ji and wished him good health and a speedy recovery,” he said.
