Jalebi Becomes a Talking Point in Haryana Politics After BJP’s Election Victory

New Delhi: Jalebi, a popular sweet in Gohana, Haryana, has unexpectedly become a symbol in the state’s political discourse. This comes after former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi suggested mass production and export of the sweet dish during the campaign.

Following the BJP’s landslide victory in the Haryana assembly elections, the party responded to Gandhi’s remark playfully by ordering jalebis to celebrate. In a lighthearted jab, the Haryana unit of the BJP’s Kesari Party sent one kilogram of jalebi to the Congress headquarters in Delhi.
