A day before Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-poll, Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence in her candidacy, saying he couldn’t imagine a better representative for the constituency. Vadra will file her nomination on Wednesday, accompanied by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi, in a post on X, stated, “The people of Wayanad hold a special place in my heart, and I can’t imagine a better representative for them than my sister, Priyanka Gandhi.” He added that she would be a strong voice for Wayanad in Parliament.
Before filing her nomination, Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi will lead a roadshow in Kalpetta, urging the public to join in. This marks Priyanka’s electoral debut, taking over a seat previously held by Rahul Gandhi.
