Bengaluru: Former Minister C.P. Yogeshwar resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) this morning, submitting his resignation via WhatsApp to BJP State President Vijayendra. Yogeshwar is expected to join the Congress today in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar.
Earlier in the day, Yogeshwar met with KPCC President and Deputy CM Shivakumar at his residence, followed by discussions with CM Siddaramaiah. His resignation follows frustration over BJP’s delay in announcing his ticket for the Channapatna by-election.
