The CM acknowledged that the opposition, especially the BJP, will likely protest the decision. However, he defended the price hike, emphasizing the challenges faced by dairy farmers. “Don’t dairy farmers deserve a decent living? Farmers should tell the BJP how tough it is to produce milk,” Siddaramaiah said, urging the public to understand the struggles of those in the dairy industry.
