Bulldozer Politics Grounded: Akhilesh Yadav Hails Supreme Court Verdict

In a significant development, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision on bulldozer politics, stating it has brought an end to the “destruction politics” and misuse of bulldozers in Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav expressed relief that the apex court’s verdict has halted the unconstitutional bulldozer actions, which were used to intimidate people and silence opposition voices. “The Supreme Court’s order has not only stopped the bulldozers but also exposed the destructive politics of those who misused them,” he said.

He criticized the Uttar Pradesh government and the ruling BJP for glorifying bulldozers as a symbol of justice. “They made bulldozers a tool to spread fear and suppress dissent,” Yadav alleged.

Questioning the government’s intentions, Yadav asked, “Will they now rename bulldozers to continue misusing them?” He emphasized that the public remains skeptical about the government’s motives.

Yadav also targeted the Special Task Force (STF), alleging that officers with similar backgrounds are posted to appease the government. “This raises concerns about the impartiality of the STF,” he said.

The Samajwadi Party chief warned that when courts review the bulldozer actions, the government will face consequences. “The people will not forget how their rights were trampled upon,” he asserted.

With the Supreme Court’s verdict, Yadav hopes that bulldozer politics will come to an end. “The wheels of the bulldozer have come off, and its steering wheel has been dismantled. It’s time for those who exploited it to face the consequences.”
