BJP Leader Amit Malviya Accused of Sexual Exploitation, sues RSS member for 10 cr

Days after an RSS member alleged that Amit Malviya was involved in the sexual exploitation of women, the BJP IT cell chief filed a Rs 10 crore defamation suit against Shantanu Sinha, an RSS member, on Monday.

BJP leader Amit Malviya has filed a defamation suit against Shantanu Sinha, who accused him of “indulging” in the sexual exploitation of women.

In a social media post, Sinha alleged that Malviya had sexually harassed women while in West Bengal.

Speaking to India Today, Sinha clarified, “I am not directly accusing Amit Malviya of misconduct. I am questioning whether Bengal leaders maintain their positions by supplying women to leaders like Malviya. We have seen similar occurrences in Bengal before. In 2021, cinema actors with no political background were given tickets. I stand by my claims that some men in Bengal BJP retain their posts by supplying women to leaders.”

Reacting sharply the Congress party has called for a thorough investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has called for immediate action against Malviya. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate stated, “An RSS member, Shantanu Sinha, related to BJP leader Rahul Sinha, has accused Amit Malviya, the BJP IT Cell head, of engaging in nefarious activities, including the sexual exploitation of women, both in 5-star hotels and BJP offices in West Bengal.”
